Week 14

Week 14 July 22, 2013

 

Ola,

 So for some reason I am having a hard time remembering what happened this week...but we did have a funny experience.

 

 We were tracting after dinner a few days ago and were getting out of the car when a door-to-door salesman comes walking up the street. We are suppose to talk to everyone we see but before we could say anything he starts trying to sell us some soap. I think he realized after about 10 minutes that we were not going to buy anything and so he all the sudden turns to Sister Funk and says- "you must be a teacher cause man you've got class" then he turns to me and says- "and you must be a doctor cause you've got patience." Ha ha...we dont look that old do we? But anyways after he finished talking we introduced ourselves and ended up giving him a Book of Mormon. Yep...that was definitely the most interesting experience I have had tracting so far.

 

 We spent a lot of time on the phone this week. We got a new investigator on Monday but he doesnt live in our area or our stake. He, Riley, has been coming to our ward for 7 months with a friend and has now decided to take the lessons, so that was exciting for us and he already knows everything and wants to be baptized soon. So we have been trying to figure out what to do, but it looks like we will probably get to keep teaching him! Also our investigator we got last week, we had to hand her off to a set of elders last night, which was disappointing but we know everything will work out.

 

 I finished the conference ensign this week and that was great. I have really come to love reading the words of our prophet and apostels. I learn so much from their words.

 

 Well I hope everyone is having a great week! One thing I have learned is to work hard, but have fun too. So go out and do that and keep on smiling :)
