week 68 Pia de batismal...

August 4, 2014

Ola!

Tudo bem?! We have definitely had some adventures this week. I think the best part of the the week was our investigator, Iago, got baptized and confirmed! He is a really great kid and I know this was the best decision he could have ever made.

Iago's baptism ended up a little bit stressful because of the pia de batismal...when we got to the church the font looked clean, so we started filling it up...it wasn't clean. Then we realized the drain wasn't working. So using a bucket and some rags we cleaned and emptied the font. Well today, I looked at the font (hoping the drain was working) and it was still completely full of water! So while my companion was emailing I emptied part of the font. Can I just say, you never realize how much water is in a font until you have to empty it by hand ha ha. I think I will be sore tomorrow

Last comment for today...I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon. I can really say that I love that book! The Book of Mormon has helped me so much lately. There are some days when we come home and I am exhausted and a little discouraged, but then I read the Book of Mormon and I feel so much better.

Well, I hope all of you are having a good week! Keep on smiling :) I love all of you so much!
